Sarah attended Sheridan College’s Athletic Therapy program (Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences) which she graduated with honours and received 5 awards, including one as a First Responder .She has since won a National Award presented to a “Rising Star” in Athletic Therapy.

Sarah has a history working with competitive hockey and football teams, and was the Head Athletic Trainer for the Humber College Women’s Rugby team, for which she won Athletic Therapist of the Year. She gained invaluable experience working at the Women’s Rugby National team camp. In addition, she was also the Head Athletic Trainer for the Men’s Italian National Ball Hockey team traveling to 2 world championships.

Sarah’s vision of Athletic Therapy includes a well rounded whole-body approach to treatment, supplementing with natural modalities whenever possible. She has been an invited speaker at various Toronto AT clinics and 3 colleges, as well as private coaching of meditation techniques, based on her degree thesis on the effectiveness of mindfulness on pain scales.

Sarah’s understanding and compassion stems from her own serious injury, suffering a traumatic brain injury due to a fall from a significant height while training in her favourite sport. That experience shaped how she approaches patient care, valuing each for their unique journeys, and wanting them to feel heard, understood and given access to meaningful treatments and modalities. She facilitates customized, well-rounded, and researched based programs to ensure positive clinical outcomes. All programs are made to gauge and manipulate the body’s biomechanics, and allow the body an optimal environment to repair itself. Sarah approaches rehabilitation through a biopsychosocial lens to address all facets of healing.
